Job Overview
The Finance Supervisor is the point person for the coordination of external parties and internal customers with regards to tax queries and assessments. He/She monitors, reviews, and conducts analysis on tax planning opportunities and strategies, tax risks, and other tax issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing of all required tax returns, including income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and other relevant taxes in accordance with local tax regulations
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure on going compliance
• Lead in developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position
• Identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies
• Review of the company's compliance with the applicable tax rules and regulations as well as the usual day-to-day tax matters
• Prepare and compile documentary requirements of tax authorities
• Correspondences with tax authorities
• Address audit findings and implement corrective actions to enhance tax-related internal controls
• Work closely with the Accounting team to integrate tax requirements into financial reporting and planning processes
• Performance of other related duties as assigned to him/her from time to time by his/her superiors
Qualifications
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Experience in the field of Accounting, Audit, or Tax
• Experience using NetSuite or any Oracle software is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Team player, flexible and able to work under pressure
