Job Overview: The Hemodialysis Technician shall assist the Hemodialysis Team in the dialysis operations, minimizing little to no delays. S/he will maintain full functioning of R.O. system, reprocessing machine and dialysis machines.
This role will be hired under Global Reliance Renal Care, Inc. (GRRI) - a subsidiary of RelianceUnited.
Qualifications:
At least a high school graduate, or is a vocational graduate, or a college graduate
He/She shall have a certificate of training as a dialysis technician by a structured training program for three (3) months or more if necessary.
It is advantageous if he/she has an updated certificate of training in Basic Life Support (BLS) conducted by a DOH accredited provider
Experience is a Dialysis Technician is an advantage
Duties and Responsibilities:
Regarding technical/equipment care:
Primes or prepares dialyzers and dialysis bath according to formula
Prepares, rinses, disinfects dialysis machines prior to treatment
Calibrates reprocessing machines at the start of the day prior to use
Collects all used dialyzers in the dialysis area in accordance with techniques in the prevention and control of spillage and contamination
Performs reprocessing of used dialyzers
Assesses reprocessed dialyzers for acceptability
Labels all used dialyzers properly
Records dialyzer re-use number in Hemodialysis flow sheet
Stores reprocessed dialyzers in an orderly manner
Conducts preventive maintenance of Hemodialysis machines, machine repairs and monitoring of machine-related problems
Other Duties:
Assist in all emergency operational procedures and in performing basic CPR measures during cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest.
Ensure cleanliness of hemodialysis unit at all times.
Replenish amenities and maintain a good arrangement of stocks.
Enforces company set policies and perform tasks as may be delegated from time to time.
Assumed the role of Pollution Control Officer or Safety Officer
