Job Objective / Purpose
Develop and execute a business development and sales strategy to support the growth of HDSI Central Laboratory (CL), as aligned with the overall operational and corporate objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop sales strategies and target account lists, saturating and penetrating the immediate and secondary vicinity of the CL through proactive sales efforts.
- Ensure achievement of key activities (this includes following leads, visiting potential clients/customers for new business, giving sales presentations and marketing program implementation) and development of relationships with new clients.
- Work with the HDSI Medical and Commercial teams to update knowledge on market product and pricing, providing feedback on rates and/or package prices according to the client's and market’s needs.
- Negotiates with prospective clients on the terms of an agreement and, with guidance from the Sales Manager, closes sales.
- Participates and attends any conferences and functions where the promotion of the company's services is possible.
- Reports to the Sales Manager with all progress, keeping them updated on the activities/initiatives and the completion of sales targets.
Background and Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years previous work experience
- Prior industry experience desirable
- Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational, and presentation skills
- Highly motivated and demonstrates ability to achieve goals and targets
- A basic understanding of medical and healthcare terminologies, technologies, protocols, etc
- A good understanding of marketing and commercialization of products and services from the industry perspective.
- Fluent command of spoken and written English
- Knowledge of electronic tools (documents, spreadsheets, presentation slides) and good technical understanding of databases and data automation
