Job Overview
To support the Finance Department and operations through ensuring complete and accurate financial information by properly accounting transactions and monitoring company assets according to company policies and procedures. Reporting to the GL/Tax Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs monthly bank reconciliation and proposes correct adjusting entries to reflect accurate cash balances.
- Register assets in NetSuite, run monthly depreciation run and maintain PPE lapsing, including monitoring of schedules and monthly recording of additions, disposals and transfers.
- Performs accrual of expenses to ensure complete and accurate bottomline and financial information
- Performs other closing procedures according to company policies and as directed by immediate superior
- Issues and monitors official business phone and laptops to employees; monitors and update phone and laptop assignment
- Prepares accountability form for issued assets
- Prepares and handle tagging of physical assets
- Performs inventory count observation and reconciliation to ensure accurate inventories are reported
- Reconciles and timely updates general ledger schedules
- Checks and prepares entries in NetSuite for manual liquidations of cash advances from employees
- Monitors unliquidated cash advances of employees and performs timely follow ups and endorsement to Payroll for deduction according to Company Policy
- Checks the clearance of resigned employees for outstanding accountabilities (Official Business
- Phones, laptops, other assets, unliquidated cash advances and other employee payables), in coordination with the IT and Admin.
- Assists Supply Chain Management in determining the GL account to be used in new items/purchases
- Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned depending on business need
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Accounting, Audit, Tax and Finance
- Must have basic understanding of GAAP, internal controls requirements and statutory reporting requirements
- Excellent computer skills on MS Office preferably using Excel and Google sheet
- Preferably with experience using Netsuite or any Oracle software
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have strong organizational and analytical skills
- Critical thinker and good time-management skills
- Works in a fast-paced environment and has high attention to detail and accuracy
