Overview: The 2D Echo Nurse shall provide quality service on the non-invasive procedures involving the cardiovascular system. S/he completes new testing procedures and s/he works closely with the team for echo and vascular studies
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform 2-D Echo and Doppler procedures (including pulse wave, imaging, non-imaging continuous wave, and color flow mapping) on patients
Providing clear explanations of the test process
Attaching necessary equipment
Adjusting control settings to ensure optimal display while recording results
Conduct Carotid Duplex scans and peripheral vascular ultrasounds (AVDS and VDS)
Operate the Echo machine, interpreting both normal and abnormal ECG tracings.
Collaborate with doctors to assist in the interpretation of procedure results.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an allied health course such as BS Nursing, BS Medical Technology, BS Physical Therapy or BS Radiologic Technology
Completion of a formal 2D Echocardiography training program (often 3 months) from recognized institutions like HB Calleja Center or similar.
A 2D Echo Certificate is required.
Knowledgeable in operating ECG, treadmill, and echo machines.
Must have passed the board examination and hold any PRC license.
