Job Objective / Purpose
The Data Analyst is primarily responsible for ETL (Extract, transform, and load) of health information using BigQuery to set-up and maintain databases, responding to data-related queries, setting up processes to make data more efficient, analyzing and interpreting trends from the data, and reporting trends to add business value.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather, collect, extract data needed and sanitize or prepare data for use while performing initial analysis to assess the quality of data. (Extract)
- Perform further analysis to determine the meaning of the collected data and perform final analysis to provide additional data screening, data transformation and cleansing using Data Warehousing tools (Big Query) and SQL. (Transform and Load)
- Develop reports automated dashboards using Data Visualization Tools (e.g Google Data Studio, Looker)
- Present and communicate findings to diverse audience, with technical or non-technical background
- Establish or review and improve reporting processes to satisfy the needs of the organization.
- Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned depending on business need
Background and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Quantitative Field
- Demonstrates excellent problem solving, structured thinking, attention to detail and analytical thinkingStrong data analysis experience and technical skills–using data, spreadsheets, and other tools to derive insights and program goals
- Experience designing and building reporting dashboards, including experience with popular data visualization tools Google Data Studio and Tableau
- Experience working day-to-day using a popular data warehouse, like Redshift or BigQuery, as well as knowledge of the Google Cloud or AWS ecosystem
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, conflict resolution, and project management skills
- Be able to work with, clarify, and find creative solutions for ambiguous and sometimes challenging requests from partners
- SQL language is mandatory
