The Account Management Specialist serves as the primary liaison between Unilab employees and healthcare partners such as Flexicare, HealthFirst, and other medical service providers. The role ensures smooth coordination, accurate administration of employee medical benefits, and efficient resolution of healthcare-related concerns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Medical Services Coordination
Coordinate employee medical service requests, approvals, and availments with Flexicare, HealthFirst, and other accredited healthcare providers.
Ensure timely processing of medical examinations, laboratory requests, consultations, and other medical-related needs.
Validate employee eligibility and benefit coverage prior to service requests or provider transactions.
Benefits Administration & Support
Assist employees in understanding their healthcare benefits, coverage limits, dependents’ inclusion, and claim procedures.
Monitor and maintain accurate records of employee medical benefits and service utilization.
Customer Service
Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, or issues regarding medical services and benefit coverage.
Provide clear guidance to employees on requirements, processes, and documentation.
Qualifications:
Educational Background
Preferably a licensed nurse (RN) or a graduate of a related allied health course (e.g., Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Public Health).
Training & Experience
At least 1 year of experience in healthcare coordination, Health Benefits Administration, occupational health, or employee benefits management is preferred.
Working Conditions
Ability to work onsite and extend beyond company operating hours when needed.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain medical benefits and processes clearly.
High attention to detail and accuracy in processing medical service requests and documentation.
Strong coordination and follow-through abilities when dealing with healthcare providers and employees.
Proactive problem-solving skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in MS Office tools and familiarity with HR or health benefits systems is an advantage.
