The Patient Care Officer (PCO) is in charge of registration, and patient data processing; such as treatment records and related health benefit or insurance information (Netsuite), coding patient diagnosis along with requests for payments from the health benefit administrator (HBA) or insurance company (HMO), and filing of PhilHealth claims

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Patient registration and identity validation
  • Patient data processing; such as treatment records and related health benefits or insurance information (Netsuite)
  • Coding patient diagnosis along with requests for payments from the health benefits administrator (HBA) or insurance company (HMO); verifies insurance coverage and obtains approval
  • Filing of PhilHealth claims
  • Any task/s as assigned from time to time

Background and Qualifications
  • With at least 2 years of college education
  • Medical-related course is an advantage
  • Is comfortable with speaking in English and has excellent communication skills
  • Literate in using the computer and learning software programs for encoding
